The Early Childhood Developmental Unit (ECDU) formally known as the SEDU (Special Educational Developmental Unit) is located on the eastern side of the school and accessed from Urquhart Street
Programs
A weekly playgroup program is offered to parents of children aged birth to three years.
Children aged 3-4 years attend a Kindergarten program, while children aged 4-6 years attend the Prep program.
Children attending the Kindergarten or Prep programs also attend their chosen Kindergarten and Prep Centres. The ECDU is able to offer support to the child and teachers in these Centres.
Focus
Groups are kept to a minimum to provide a more individual program. Early special education programs focus on the cognitive, language, social, emotional and physical development of the individual child.
Enrolments
Referrals are accepted from all medical and educational professionals. All referrals should be in written format addressed to the Head of Special Education Services. They are able to be mailed to the school address or faxed to 4743 6234.
