Belmore to Buffalo Creek Variety Bash Big Breakfast

On Wednesday 9 August, Barkly Highway State School and the P&C Association hosted the officials, drivers and guests from this years’ Belmore to Buffalo Creek Variety Bash for 2017.
Our school Principal Christien Payne is pictured here being presented with some very generous items for our school and a certificate of appreciation from Stuart Telfer, the Motoring Events Manager from Variety Bash and  our P&C Association Vice-President Kym Hilton and the Treasurer, Ian Hussey, presented the Variety Bash with a donation of $500.00 towards their cause.
From our early calculations, the Barkly Highway State School P&C Association has raised just under $7000 in relation to the Variety Bash, our successful raffle and food stalls. The P&C Association would like to extend a sincere thank you to the families of Barkly Highway State School and the wider Mount Isa community for supporting us during this time. Our winners of the raffle were:
1st prize: The Faraimo Family
2nd Prize: Variety Bash car number 148
3rd prize: M. North
The money raised was used to help pay for the massive fans installed in the under-cover area in the school. Have you seen them?
